Cash in on Casino Manners

Posted by: Zeeman Haus In: players

Yes, going to the casino is great! In most of these establishments the small timer is treated as well by the staff as the high rollers. Unlike the rest of your life, here everyone wishes you good luck and seems to genuinely mean it! Yes, this is a much friendlier environment than your mother in law's house. But there are some things you should know to keep you looking as cool as you feel.

Remember the whole "Everything I need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" movement? Yeah, this doesn't apply to casino etiquette. Well mostly doesn't, the being nice part you should do everywhere you go. So here are some common faux pas people often make on their first few trips to the house of chance.

Gaming tables are the first things you need to consider. You can stand behind someone who doesn't mind and watch the game as it unfolds, but usually the dealer will not answer many questions until you sit down to play. Sometimes if you build a quiet repartee with one of the players, they might even show you their cards and this is a big help as well. Do not sit down at the table with the intension of just watching. This will elicit a "well?" look by the dealer. If you're sitting you are expected to play.

The dealer can be your biggest friend in a way. Often once you establish yourself as a polite player and ask for a tip or two, the deal will give you a few pointers. Listen to them, but don't hold them accountable if you lose. Dealers make the same amount if you win or lose, they have to, and it's the law. However, you can tip you dealer if their suggestions help you to win big.

Remember though, you are not playing the deal, you are playing the house. The dealer does not get to choose much about what they do, in fact they don't get to pick anything at all. They are held to a strict set of rules and breaking them will result in termination and a revocation of their license. So if you are consistently loosing you might want to realize two things: it's not the dealer's fault and the one person playing every single hand has been you.

Getting angry with the dealer makes as much sense as getting angry with a remote control car instead of the guy holding the remote. In this case getting angry with that guy doesn't make much sense either. Casinos do not stay in business by giving away money.

The final thing that will embarrass you potentially, is trying to touch the dealer. If you change in money to the dealer for chips, it is not good form to actually try to hand them this. Physical contact between deal and player is limited to...well, none. They are not allowed to come in contact with you at all. This prevents weird things from happening, like cards being passed and the like.

Following these simple steps will help you enjoy your casino experience. Being the nice person who plays a game as a game and has a good time is just part of it. You definitely want to make the right impressions with the staff. Usually it is very much appreciated.

The Chicago Bears – A Hopeful 2010 Season

Posted by: Matt Ryan In: NFL

The Chicago Bears are one of the most beloved teams across the NFL, and one of the oldest as well. They have been playing professional football since before 1920, and have been playing their all time rivals -- the Green Bay Packers -- since only a couple years after their original start. Over this time, the Packers and Bears have played more than 170 games; fans can look forward to this battle every season. The Bears have always played well as a team, regardless of team members, even back when they were first formed. In fact, the team didn't experience big losses until nearly the 1930s. The Bears colors, that you know today, have been part of who they are since only three years after they started playing in 1922.

Chicago sports fans are very loyal and passionate about their teams, and all know who Wrigley field belongs to -- the Chicago Cubs. Ironically, the Bears needed a field to play on, back in the day, and that is where they scrimmaged. They soon thereafter had a field to call their own --Soldier field. Over the years the stadium began to fall apart, and was remodeled and ready to play in by the 2003 season. The stadium need such help, in fact, that only the street wall remains from the original, and the name was even changed to Soldier Field II.

The Chicago Bears have always made record sales for home games, and even games on the road. Ticket sales, for the Chicago bears, are well within the top 20 highest sales across the entire league. In fact, they are within the top 10 most profitable teams in the NFL, and its history, with a cash flow of 1.1 billion dollars. The combination of their solid history, the 2009 roster changes, and summer training, the 2009 season was just as eventful as every other season the Bears have given their fans. Jay Cutler, a Pro Bowl quarterback from the Broncos, joined the Bears in the spring of 2009, which added some great talent to their offensive line.

After 90 years on the league, the Bears have retired 13 numbers. Players like Walter Payton, Harold Grange, Sid Luckman, George Halas, George McAfee, and Bill George -- some old and some more recent. Other retired jerseys belong to Willie Galimore, Dick Butkus, Bill Hewitt, Clyde Turner, Gayle Sayers, Brian Piccolo, and Bronko Naqurski. Their history runs deep and will for many years to come. Bears fans are just as dedicated to their team, as the team is to the field and their fans.

There is nothing quite like being at a football game and hearing the players throw each other around the field. The sweat, grunting, play calls, and yelling are enough to get anyone excited about the game. Many say you don't really experience football until you see the Chicago Bears play, especially live. This will be another astonishing year for the team. Don't miss you chance to see them play, live, at Soldier Field II.

Bengals Beat Pats In Lackluster NFL Preseason Contest

Posted by: Ross Everett In: 1

When the biggest play of a NFL football game is an extra point, there's a good chance it was a dull contest. The big play of the game? A point after touchdown by the Bengals backup kicker, none other than wide receiver Chad Ochocinco. Ochocinco's PAT would prove to be the margin of victory as Cincinnati beat New England 7-6.

After the game, the always entertaining Chad Ochocinco was in rare form talking about his love for European soccer:

"'Esteban' Ochocinco is back, the most interesting footballer in the world. Everyone has to remember, I've always said that soccer is my No. 1 sport. I think Ronaldinho would be proud of me right now."

To punctuate his fondness for the sport known as football in the rest of the world, Ochocinco whipped out his iPhone to display a picture of him with former England captain David Beckham. He then continued:

"Soccer's my first love, Kicking's easy ... like riding a bike. I can kick them from 50, 60 yards, left or right hash mark. ... I kicked all through high school."

Ochocinco was pressed into service as a placekicker when Shane Graham complained of a sore groin in pregame warm-ups. Rather than take any chances, head coach Marvin Lewis let Ochocinco take his place.

Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker, another emergency placekicker, wasnt buying Ochocincos talk about kicking being easy:

"It's not easy. To kick that is something, and he got real good height on it."

The Patriots could only manage two FGs, while Cincinnati scored their only touchdown on JT OSullivans 24 yard pass to Chris Henry. That set up Ochocincos picture perfect extra point. OSullivan was also amused, but emphasized that his receivers athletic versatility is no joke:

"Nothing surprises me. All joking aside, he still kicked the ball through the uprights and it ended up winning the game. Some people might think its funny, but it's important."

The Bengals continue their NFL preseason play on Thursday, hosting the St. Louis Rams. New England will be back in action on Friday night as they travel to Washington, DC for a game against the Redskins.

Titan Poker Mac Works To Fix Mac Obstacles To Online Gaming

Posted by: Jonuss Liquorisa In: 1

PCs might get taken out by Macintosh computers in commercials, but when it comes to online poker games, PCs have ruled the roost from the start. Fortunately, Titan Poker Mac is attempting to change the situation.

Mac players often find themselves struggling against online obstacles such as graphics overload. This seems strange, considering that Macs developed the first graphical user interface and are the preferred choice of professional graphic and web designers everywhere. The problem is downloading Java script. This means that Mac poker players are limited to playing online games using a browser based version of either Java or Flash.

Another big obstacle is file type conflict, a real hair-puller. Most downloads are based on .exe files known as "executables." This file type was specifically created for the Microsoft Windows operating system. Thankfully online casino have twigged to this inequity and are now providing a.bin file that is directly readable on the Macintosh Operating system.

The debut of Titan Poker Mac appears to be a great breakthrough for these incompatibility challenges. However, thousands, possibly even millions, of U. S. Users will quickly discovered that they can't try it out because, much to our dismay, the new site won't accept American players.

Consequently it's great to see Titan Poker Mac coming onto the field. The new Mac-compatible gaming site is part of the Playtech line of online poker rooms. It sports an appealing red-white-and-blue color scheme. Titan Poker Mac also makes use of some excellent 3D graphics, including letting players pick online "avatars, " or figures to represent them at the poker tables. Fortunately, the perspective on the graphics is adjusted so that the cards appear on the poker table much larger than they would be in real life. That's a great help in online play.

Other reviewers have raved about Titan Poker.com's topnotch 24/7 customer service and level of play. Unfortunately, we were unable to test that for ourselves because the site is not open to American players. Without being able to set up an account, it's not possible for American Mac users to try their hands at this impressive new online poker game.

All these wonderful features come to naught for American players, however. Seems like Mac users are still shut out of the game.

For any people that like playing poker and have a mac, you can consider playing Titan poker mac. You will find that it's fast and easy to sign up for with a titan poker sign up bonus code. You can find the code on the Internet by using a search engine that takes a few seconds of your time.
